Curatorial Initiatives: A Platform Launch
Hzone, Seoul, Korea
13.11.-15.11.2024
Hzone has emphasized the social role of visual arts and continuously explored new possibilities in contemporary art. Believing that art transcends mere creative domains to drive significant societal changes, Hzone designed the CURATORS IP PLATFORM to protect the intellectual property of curators and seek innovative ways to connect art with society.
This platform supports curators in systematically managing and expanding their creative assets and provides an environment where even unrefined ideas can be shared. CURATORS IP PLATFORM enables curators to act as agents of social value creation, assisting in the production of digital content and collaborations with corporations and public institutions to extend the artistic value and address social issues.
Additionally, it helps curators expand their global networks and present their ideas on an international stage, thereby strengthening the global presence of Korean curators. This platform serves as a crucial stepping stone for curators to realize their projects and expand their roles within the art ecosystem.
The participating curators documented their project IPs through interview recordings, which were archived on Hzone's CURATORS IP PLATFORM. They also had the opportunity to present and formally declare their IPs in a pitching session before key figures in the art industry.
