Hzone

The Dialogue moves beyond the physical limitations imposed by past exhibitions held during the pandemic. Instead of presenting a singular artistic discourse, it highlights the individual narratives of participating artists through organic interactions among artists, galleries, curators, and audiences. 

Particularly, the exhibition enhances the visibility of each artist's artistic philosophy through artist-curator matching interviews, allowing deeper engagement with the audience. A diverse group of domestic and international curators has taken part in this process.

Additionally, Daehyung Lee, serving as the project's artistic director, has conducted interviews with directors of the selected outstanding galleries. Through these interviews, he sheds light on their visions and philosophies while discussing future strategies for strengthening global competitiveness.

Dialogue was held at Glass Haus in Hyundai Department Store Mokdong. Rather than focusing solely on sales, the exhibition aimed to make contemporary art more accessible to a wider audience. Visitors encountered artworks within their everyday shopping experience, and lecture programs were offered to enhance their understanding of collections and artworks.

The 1 Company, 1 Artist sponsorship program was launched through this exhibition, fostering connections between businesses and artists. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from artwork sales was donated to a nonprofit organization, with contributions from the department store, galleries, and artists.
