Curatorial Initiatives: Platform Launch celebrates the inauguration of the visual arts curatorial IP platform, CURATORS IP PLATFORM. This showcase features curators Sey Min, Yewon Seo, Jieon Lee, and Isak Chung, who explore the platform’s vision and potential.

Prior to the showcase, these four curators participated in workshops to discuss the platform's role within the art ecosystem and explore ways for curators to realize and share their projects. This exhibition unveils the discussions and outcomes from their workshops, reflecting their aspirations for the platform to become an open space that supports creative activities through independent research and collaboration.

In the pitching session, each curator presents ideas and projects they have developed through research and collaboration. Sey Min introduces Generation that Generates, a project that uses data visualization and machine learning to amplify women's voices in media. Yewon Seo showcases Dagelet, a project that documents and explores various narratives of islands and communities, highlighting regional identity and community bonds. Jieon Lee presents Prefaces, a platform designed for collecting and exchanging exhibition prefaces, aiming to reveal the invisible connections between creators and audiences. Isak Chung presents Lightweight Exhibition, a project designed to retain exhibitions as long-term social assets, proposing a model for exhibitions to continue functioning as public resources post-exhibition.

These curators emphasize the importance of structural support to protect intellectual property rights, fostering creativity and experimentation, and they hope the platform will evolve into a space for curators to engage and exchange.
